# Active Construction Inc – Civil Contractor & Site Services in Tacoma WA

Active Construction Inc has been operating in Tacoma since the late 1960s, which puts them well past the 60-year mark in the Pacific Northwest civil construction market. That longevity is not just a number. It reflects a company that has adapted through multiple economic cycles, changing regulatory environments, and shifting client expectations in civil infrastructure. Their 4.1-star client rating reflects steady performance across a demanding category.

Their work sits firmly in the civil contracting side of the industry rather than residential renovation. That means underground utilities, road construction, site preparation, and remediation projects, often on sites where the groundwork has to be right before anything else can proceed. Companies with this kind of track record in civil work are rarer than the general contractor market, and they tend to attract clients who have been burned by under-resourced firms before.
