Shingle, metal and flat roofs, flashing, ventilation, eavestroughs and ice dams. Across the GTA the Ontario Building Code requires eave protection on most shingled roofs, running at least 900 mm up from the roof edge and at least 300 mm inside the inner face of the exterior wall; ask your roofer how they meet it. Post the roof’s age and material, photos of the problem, or your quote for the most useful answers.
