Before the renovation, the living room was the part of the house everyone avoided. Low ceilings, faded paint, heavy curtains, and mismatched furniture made the space feel smaller than it actually was. The lighting came from a single ceiling bulb, which cast more shadows than brightness. Even though the room had potential, it lacked warmth and intention. The renovation began with one simple question: How do we want this space to feel? The answer was “open, bright, and welcoming.” The walls were painted a soft neutral tone, and the curtains were replaced with light, airy drapes. The old carpet was pulled up and replaced with durable wood-look flooring that instantly added character. A big change came from removing a small dividing wall. Suddenly, the living room flowed into the dining area, creating the open concept the homeowners dreamed of. Recessed lights and a stylish floor lamp layered the lighting properly, eliminating dark corners. Finally, thoughtful furniture choices made the biggest difference. A comfortable sectional created a natural conversation area, while floating shelves displayed photos and plants without cluttering the room. After the renovation, the living room became the heart of the home. It’s now where guests gather, kids play, and quiet evenings feel cozy instead of cramped. The transformation wasn’t about expensive decor it was about purpose and planning. ![copyImage](https://renovation-reviews.storage.googleapis.com/original/2X/7/73499d3fe28974a868ed05e881448213d4d1aa42.jpeg) ---
