# A&M Contracting — GC, roofing & plumbing in Edison, NJ (Est. 1998, GAF Certified)

A&M Contracting started as a plumbing and heating operation in 1998 and has since built out into a full-service general contracting firm. Today the company handles residential and commercial work: bathroom and kitchen renovations, home additions, new construction, and roofing. Their GAF certification puts them in a smaller category of roofers who meet manufacturer standards for installation quality.

The mechanical background actually matters here. Shops that started in plumbing tend to understand how systems fit into a renovation in ways that pure GC operations sometimes miss.
