# Your home’s exterior is the first thing people notice. A minor modification can have a large impact. Here are five home exterior remodeling projects that turned ordinary houses into gorgeous residences. 1. **Before and after : Basic Brick House to Stunning Black-and-White Exterior** 2. A new front door, window boxes, shutters, and black window trim make the colour scheme more appealing than the old red brick and white trim. The landscaping and walkway also make a significant difference; the addition of boxwood hedges, a wider walkway, and evergreen topiaries gives the house the final touch it needed. 1. **Dated Fixer-Upper Remodeled to**** Bright Modern Cottage** ![IMG_3552](https://renovation-reviews.storage.googleapis.com/original/2X/a/ac5924431bd2195ecfc8ccd75ff35b3e32b9e73d.jpeg) A yellow entrance door adds a joyful punch to dark blue siding with bright white trim. The house no longer looks like a fixer-upper thanks to the new siding and shingles. Additionally, the porch was renovated with square-bottom columns, a metal roof, and polished wood floors. 1. **Beige Cottage To Full of Cheerful Color** ![IMG_3553](https://renovation-reviews.storage.googleapis.com/original/2X/6/657dca8647394fd81b7f012be7a4e217115b621e.jpeg) This home exterior renovation uses an unexpected white and yellow-green colour scheme. The vibrant green is seen on the Dutch front door, shutters, and striped awnings. Aside from painting, the owner installed window boxes and removed the low brick wall, front steps, and railings. These minor changes have a significant impact, giving the house a fresh, new appearance. 1. **Brick Home to Midcentury Modern Makeover** ![IMG_3554](https://renovation-reviews.storage.googleapis.com/original/2X/d/d0514357c69a91dcfbd95a0e49265304ab45d141.jpeg) Wood features, such as horizontal slat siding and a new front door, bring the look together throughout the property. A bright white exterior emphasises the clean lines of the brick facade, and the midcentury modern design stands out with its minimal landscaping. 1. **Dreary Ranch To Welcoming Home Exterior** ![IMG_3555](https://renovation-reviews.storage.googleapis.com/original/2X/3/31b80046dcf8d862bff76ecc24b7d746a1c3c507.jpeg) An inexpensive yet significant adjustment was painting the house a warm white and the shutters a gentle khaki that was somewhat darker. A new portico, which defines the entry and provides a seamless transition from outside to within, is reached by blue slate steps and stacked stone risers. The welcome appearance is completed with vibrant landscaping. These home exterior remodels demonstrate how simple modifications, such as a new colour scheme, renovated siding, or thoughtful landscaping, can radically alter a home. Every detail counts, whether it’s installing shutters, updating the porch, or establishing a clean walkway. With the perfect touches, your home may transform from ordinary to spectacular, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who visit. ---
